For a moment think of your life. All of your life you have experienced dreams and visions of how you wanted your life to be. Each of us has an idea of what we want to do, what we want to be, and how we want to progress through each stage of life. Each of us has the possibility to fulfill these dreams and visions. We have the possibility to live the abundant life.
As children of the Most-High God, we are encouraged in His Word to walk through this life with a certain level of confidence. The reason for this confidence is God knows what we have been taught, what we are currently learning, and what we will face. As we face life, He knows that it takes courage and not fear to accomplish those tasks and to live this life. No Fear!
As believers, we cannot and should not think God is at our disposal to dish out "a good word" when we need a "good word". If we did and if we continue to do what He has previously taught us, we will not always need a right now word for our right now situation. Our lives would be so much better, if we would simply embrace, apply, and practice what we have already been taught.
How often do you self-reflect? Throughout the Sword of the Spirit (the Bible) you will find those who spent time in reflection, meditation, and prayer. It is good to get to your quiet place, your secret place, your place called alone and contemplate life. When you do this, you may come to the conclusion that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of the God.
Galatians 6:7-8 tells us "Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting." God will not be mocked, fooled, hoodwinked, or bamboozled. If you think you can defy, challenge, or ridicule God, you are deceiving yourself.
God wants us to live our lives to the fullest. He has so much in store for us and He is continually adjusting our lives to have us in the time and space not only to bless us and allow us to bear fruit, but for each of us to be a blessing to others. We cannot do this unless we make choices that lead to life and blessings. Choose life!
This statement is made by Jesus in Luke 6:31: "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." Is this part of your philosophy of life? If you want a positive, productive, and peaceful life, if you want to walk in blessings and favor, if you want to enjoy the fullness of life, make this verse part of your philosophy of life. When you do, your life will be changed for the better (forever).
Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water. Hebrews 10:22 (NIV)
We will have our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water by learning to listen to God. God is continually speaking, but the question is are we listening?
For a moment, reflect over your life and see if you failed to take advantage of an opportunity. Did an opportunity pass you by because you did not perceive it until it was too late? Time is precious and life is short. We cannot afford to miss a move of God because we were distracted by life in this world. God is moving; you and I have to be attentive and perceive what He is doing.
Since we are relational people, it is extremely important that in every aspect of our lives we are properly aligned. Life is too short, and time is too precious for you and I to be in improper alignment. Be it in relationships, employment, church, community, and organizations, we need proper alignment. In fact, who or what you align yourself to and with speaks volumes about you.
Have you heard or used the term "dead to me"? In this series, we will spend time in Galatians 6:14 (KJV). It is imperative that every born-again believer understand, acknowledge, and embrace that they are dead to the world and the world is dead to them. This is more than word; this is actions, deeds, and in your philosophy of life.
It is necessary for the believer to often take inventory or examine himself/herself. At times, through life experiences, we pick up habits, mannerisms, and other behaviors that may not be in the will of God or detrimental to our walk with God. When these things are revealed to us, we in partnership with the Holy Spirit, must purge those things from our being.
